Privacy Policy

Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of your personal information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff.

Referrals & Prescriptions

A consultation with the Doctor  is required for all prescriptions and referrals. Referrals will not be provided from a phone request. In unavoidable circumstances Doctors may provide a repeat referral however this is done at the Doctor's discretion and may attract a fee. It is illegal to backdate a referral.

Test Results

We encourage all patients to be responsible for their own test results. Results are best followed up with an appointment.

Our Nurse and Reception staff are not qualified to give any advice other than the message that accompanies your result. If you require further information on any result it is best to make an appointment to discuss this directly with the Doctor.

Reminder System

We are committed to preventative medicine and have a reminder system in place for routine health checks  e.g. Pap Smears and Immunisations. If you do not wish to be a part of this system please let us know.

Fees and Billing

This is a private billing practice. All fees must be paid for at reception after consultation with the Doctor. There is an on-line claiming facility available that will deposit your Medicare rebate back into your savings account within seconds of the transaction if you choose to use the EFTPOS savings facility available to you.

Appointments

• Consultations are by appointment unless there

is an emergency.

• Acute injuries and illnesses will always be

given priority.

• Long consultations are available if you have

several items or complex issues to discuss.
