Privacy Policy

Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to always maintain strict security of your personal information and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff.

Medical Certificates, Results, Referrals & Prescriptions

We encourage all patients to be responsible for their own test results.

Please call the practice 3-5 days after you have had your test to ensure results have been received and whether an appointment is required

In some cases, results may be given to you over the phone by our Practice Nurse at the discretion of your Doctor.

It is our practice policy that an appointment is required for all repeat prescriptions medical certificates and referrals.

In unavoidable circumstances Doctors may provide a repeat referral via a telephone consultation however this is done at the Doctor’s discretion and may attract a fee.

It is illegal to backdate a referral.

Emailing the Clinic

We ask that you do not email the clinic as it is not monitored on a regular basis.

Please phone the clinic on Ph: 3324 8611 for all appointments and general enquiries.

In certain circumstances we may need to communicate via email with you. In exchanging your email information, you acknowledge that email is not recognised as a secure method of communication and we cannot guarantee the confidentiality of your information.

Reminder System

We are committed to preventative medicine and you may be contacted by us via phone, text message or mail as part of our reminder system.

Appointment reminders are sent the day before your appointment by SMS and a return confirmation SMS is required.

If you do not wish to be part of our clinic’s reminder system please advise our reception staff.

Bulk Billing

At our Practice Doctor’s will Bulk Bill children for Government Scheduled childhood vaccination appointments, however the child must have a current Medicare card.

Newborns that do not yet hold a Medicare card will be charged a Private Consultation Fee.

DVA card holders will be Bulk Billed

Telehealth & Appointments

Telehealth appointments incur the usual standard fee at the time of the phone consultation. The usual Medicare Rebate will be available and can be refunded to your Medicare nominated account on the day.


Whites Hill Family Medical is a private billing practice. Failure to pay consultation fees on time may result in further appointment requests being declined.

Our payment options are EFTPOS or Cash. Upon receipt of your payment, we can refund eligible Medicare claims to an eftpos or debit bank card before you leave the practice.

For further information in relation to our charges please speak to our friendly reception team.

If there are matters you wish to raise with the Practice, you may write to the Practice manager. If you need to take the matter further you may wish to write to Office of the Health Ombudsman at 12/400 George St, Brisbane City Qld 4000 or call 133646.
